Default buying a a4 soon need help

hey i might be buying a a4 soon and i want to know what i should check for?
its a a4 1.8t quattro
it was bored to 2.0 and has a garret gt3040
thanks for the help

since it has a custom turbo setup, i would make sure to take it to a audi performance shop to make sure theres nothing wrong with the setup.

otherwise its going to be sweet and fast as hell!

i mean he took me for a ride and evrything looks good and it pulls nice. but it seems like its burning a little to much oil.

Take it to a shop and have a buyers inspection done. I payed like 80 bucks for mine but it's well worth it especially since you say it seems like its burning a little to much oil

some1 was telling me its not good to have a blow off valve , is this true

True, Audi has a closed circulating system it feeds the air that would be blown away by the blow off valve back into the system and recirculates it. Take it to a shop that really knows their stuff like a4speed said above

theres plenty of A4's that run bov's, especially on a big turbo setups. yes, our stock setup recirculates the air but that doesn't mean you can have a bov and be just fine.

Well yah but dont you need a special type of bov? or do you just snake your way around the whole dv idea
