i have a ball and spring one as well as my bleed type but the ball and spring one was an ebay one and Josh told me it was a POS, he said he had it and it put him in limp mode. so id rather not use that one

ball and spring mbcs are pretty harsh for a small turbo with quick spool. they make it so the wastegate is either all open or all closed. it gives your car a jerky feeling, and will increase boost spiking which can put you in limp mode. if you know how to drive with one they can be used, but for a stock turbo a bleed type is probably best.

edit: one thing you can try is putting the ball-n-spring one inline with your bleed type one, if you set them right, it would make it so you wouldnt have wastegate creep but also it wouldnt be jerky. put the bleed one closest to the wastegate if you want to try it. just an idea

You might want to wait until your engine is warm before you open it up... Oil circulation is good! I don't believe the length of the mbc lines had anything to do with the "jerking around."

i did i took it for a test run in the next block over from me, they have long straight aways that i have fun on i waited till my temp was in the middle where it always is then i had the pedal to the floor

and it wasnt really a start and floor it, i started it and reved my engine and checked for leaks on the lines after i moved the hoses, so it was running for 10 min before i opened it up

Nice... hope it stays runnin good! Hey, do you get a whale like air noise at all? I'm gettin that when I let off the throttle while boostin? Sounds like on the drivers side... Just wonderin if it has to do with the extra boost or maybe my intercooler?

i hear a vacuum sound from my intake, and when i let off the throttle i hear my BOV so i really wouldnt hear much, i hear my turbo spool now when i floor it. speaking of that, i really got a good test today, got on the expressway on my way to LITuner meet and since a V8 trans am was leading, i tried to keep up, i got to 115mph with no jerking, boosting around 11psi, the hard part to do was when my friend left i followed my other friend home, he had an STi boosting around 21psi and pushing almost 400hp so that was a challange keeping up with him and plus there was a ricer accord that cut me off and all i heard was his fart car the whole way home
