Bumper pieces missing under headlights
On our A4's bumper there is a small elevated section on the top part of the bumper right under each headlight. I bought mine with those pieces missing. Instead there are holes in those two places. My question is whether the previous owner cut those pieces out or are do they come off for a purpose. I was looking on ebay to try to find them and couldn't so I was thinking they just cut the bumper, but for what reason?
Also on a side note I bought the lower door molding for the front drivers side door and put it on no problem. Than I look at the back door molding and notice it's out a little so I go fiddle with it and the molding breaks off. Now I see why the front one fell off, they seem to deteriorate on the inside. Had I known would have bought the front and back all at once...

To answer the first part of your question: those covers are to cover the headlight washer spray nozzles, which once activated, rise from those holes and spray the headlight. They are easily removable when those nozzles are still in place. However, Ive never seen this system working on any A4, and if you dont see any nozzles, they probably removed the system. If the nozzles are removed, there is no where for the caps to attach to.. I JB welded mine on but it only lasted about a year before they fell off.

The only way they are helpful is if you have deicer in the ww res and it starts snowing. But still mostly pointless
