my 96 audi has the fog lights encased in the headlamp assembly, the last tard that owned this car PAINTED THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSEING! im now buying new replacements but there is no location for the foglamps. does anyone have the grille inserts for the lower bumper that have foglamps that will fit mine? not worried about the wireing I can extend those myself.

I don't see why that's a problem unless they did a terrible job. I painted the insides of my lights and it looks great.

Your best bet would be to find someone with a 1.8T who's installing an FMIC and is losing their fogs anyway. Check the classifieds and eBay.

 

it would look great if he hadn't painted the reflectors in the back. the only light emitted is the bulbs output, no amplification or directional pattern is there, the concentration of the light is barely infront of my hoods vision.
Ill check eBay tho
