Default Breaking in new rear pads/rotors

I'm going to be replacing my rear pads and rotors next weekend and was wondering what sort of breaking in they require? Its going to be zimmerman rotors and hawk ceramic pads.

Just don't lock em up right away and they'll be fine. The break in period for new brakes is over rated. You arent going to do any harm by driving like you normaly do with new brakes.

arent you have to go ahead and make a couple of hard stops. Like from 20mph, 30/ 45?

They say to do that to "bed in" the pads. But in the last 12 years of working on cars I have never been able to make any logical sense out of that theory.
