Stallion_25, here's what you'll be looking at. This is my 99 30v on OEM non-sport suspension and 18" wheels. You will definitely want to lower the car for aesthetic reasons. If you want a hardcore performance-angled suspension, look into coilovers from Tein, Stasis, et al. If you want to lower your ride but don't need the track-attack type of suspension, look into Vmaxx coilovers. I have a set of S4 springs that'll be going onto the car soon, and if that's not low enough, I'll go to Vmaxx. But here's the OEM ride height on 18" wheels. I think you'll agree an altitude adjustment is in order. Painting the lowers (also on my list) will help as well, as it'll visually lower the car closer to the road:

Thanks for the tip. Lowers are painted already...still lookin good. How much would a set of springs and shocks run me?

Did a little research on the product lines. In your expert opinions (lets hope), would it be better to install the H&R springs w/ Bilstein struts (approx. $800. Checked that, thankyou CAB), or just install VMaxx coilovers ($600)?

you will without a doubt need to lower your car. I still hold a piece of my heart for the 12v... keep up the good work gentlemen.

i used H&R sport springs with S4 sport shocks on my 12v and the ride was great. Lowered it a decent amount but I could still afford to go lower. I run H&R race springs with bilstein shocks on my S and the ride again is great and definitely lower than the 12v.

I don't know anything about the vmaxxx c/o's so it's your call on that...

The VMaxx just sound cheap to me. I don't really know to much about coilovers but im not lookin to hit the track with the car. I checked out the price and there about $500 shipped. How we lookin fellas, any current users of these? Or should i go with a better brand

I'd say no on V-max....

I am on bilstein/neuspeed race springs....car feels awesome

I am running 18x8.5" wheels with 225/40/18's

go for some race springs and bilstein/koni shocks!

greap prica and a phenomenal stance!....plus the spring rate gets much stiffer....

V-max uses stock spring rate....they are solely for looks and will provide NO performance enhancement

gl!

I payed $675 shipped for my shocks and struts from MJM autohaus and it was well worth the money
