Brand new 18's...May need to lower
Picked up a set of Audi 18' wheels for my B5. Brand new with rubber (Pirellis) cost me $1400 (I knew the guy ok fellas?)
Anyways, they'll prob. fill up the wheel well pretty good but it may look at alittle off if there still is a substantial gap between the lip of the fender and the top of the tire. Anyway ideas on lowering the car?
Btw, still have a few things left to take care of but will post pictures soon. 96 A4 2,8 and lookinreeeeal clean.

RE: Brand new 18's...May need to lower
of course I have ideas on lowering the car.
here are some of them
1)cut the springs
2) heat the springs
3) get ride of the springs entirely (they are overrated anyways all you need is shocks)
But seriously
1) Spring shock combo (ie H&R/Bilstein, Neuspeed/bilstein, Vogtland, whatever floats your boat)
or
2) Coilovers ( so many to list it really hard to norrow it down but some good companies are: H&R, FK, Ohlin, Tein, Vmaxx)

You guys need to learn how to visualize...nah your right, pics would def. spell out theprob better but the wheels aren't on yet. I need to replace a couple of control arms and few other things before they're set. Plus is was just trying to get some insight on lowering it. Thanks for the tips. Pics will be up soon when the car is done.
Plus Rs, my 96' may be competing with yours

Is yours a 12v 2.8? if it is, then there is no competition... the brotherhood of 12ver's on these forums is "toight like a toiger".
**edit**I just reread you post... you're a 12ver too! We don't compete, we gang up on all other engine models and intimidate them into admitting a non-tunable ecu is better.Their customizable and modable cars are a waste of space.
CAB can testify.
