Brakes scratch

Brakes scratch
The car came with new Power slot rotors on all 4 corners with Hawk brake pads are not even a month old.
They are no squeeking/scratching (not just in the beginning to rub the rust off, but always).
I did not notice when test driving the car, but it now always there.
Should I check something? No concern/normal?

I am so confused... what is your question?

RE: Brakes scratch
I try again (had brain jumble when typing the first):
The brakes make a scratching noise all time; not just when starting to drive after the car has parked for a day or two (that's the little rust on the disk coming off).

Should I be concerned?

RE: Brakes scratch
Power slotted rotors will always be noisy compared with a blank disc. They are slotted and "catch" the pad, making some very disturbing noises when coming down off the highway, but it's often more of a growling.
Squealing is due to metal vibrating. As Hiwords said, get some anit-squeal for brakes and apply it to the backsides of the pads, guide clips, and slider pins. Clean the calipers really well of built-up brake dust and rust before reassembly.

I have the same thing on my 2000 a4. I replaced the front rotors with x drilled zimmerman disks (were as cheap as a blank and i like the look of zimmermans). They made no noise for the first 3 months of owning them and i broke them in properly.
They now make a "shim shim shim shim" noise, dependant on the car speed. This makes sense because it is rubbing, i am just curious as to why it is rubbing more than usual?
I have put anti-squeal on when installing them.

i have slotted rotors all around my car the back brakes are great with cheap pads for the front i have a expensive pair there like ultra silet series and they squak like a mother ****** kinda anoying happend about 1000 after install

i think the x drilled of the rotors plays a factor with the shimming noise. are far as squeaking, spray some brake cleaner on and see what happens, usually it takes care of the problem. otherwise, just take it off, clean, regrease everything and put it back on.
