Brake work - couple odd-ball questions
Hey ya'll,
Getting ready to give my brakes some TLC...A8 brake upgrade, painted calipers/front carriers, and a system bleed. I've changed the brakes plenty of times, but I've never messed with the fluid/lines, so a couple quick Q's...(the first one is especially dumb)
1) I'm planning to take the calipers off to paint them. When I unhook the lines, will all the fluid drain out? If I keep the brake cylinder closed, will that keep the fluid in the system? What have you guys used to plug the lines while the calipers are unhooked?
2) Does ANYONE know the specs on the 2 crush washers for the banjo bolts on the rear brakes? I'm supposed to replace them after hooking the lines, and I have no idea where to get them
3) Will 2 liters of brake fluid (DOT-4) be enough for a full system flush? I'm using a power bleeder for the first time, so I'm gonna REALLY try to not overpressurize and blow the master cylinder.
Thanks!

Here's a DIY on this site for painting your calipers with them still attached...

I wouldn't take them off, just follow this DIY, some good ideas on it....
