Brake Wear Sensor

Brake Wear Sensor
I just got home from school and went driving today. On my way back the brake wear sensor icon popped up on me. I know the pads are good both front and rear so I am guessing its just a faulty sensor. Is there any way through vagcom to read which sensor is throwing the fault? I'd rather not have to pull off all 4 wheels and check each sensor.

You wouldn't have to take off every wheel to check the sensor because the b5's have sensors on the fronts only. Replacing the sensors are easy enough though and can be had pretty cheap or another option is to buy these... http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...tegory=Braking and just eliminate the sensors altogether.

I checked the fluid yesterday and added a little bit to bring it up to the 'max' line on the reservoir but the warning is still there. I'll go ahead tomorrow and pull off the front wheels and look around I guess.

Warning light
Hello,
I was just curious what your warning light for the brake sensor looks like? I bought my 2004 A4 not long ago and the owners manual was missing, but a brake warning (a circle with a short curved line on both sides of the circle) came on today, but it doesn't have ABS in the middle so I suspect the ABS unit is not the problem.
thanks,
Matt
