Angry Brake warning light on dash

Hi people,

This is probably on here somewhere and tried searching but could not find it!

I have a 2000 A4 1.8t Q and had the rear pads and rotors replaced last week, But the warning light for pads are still coming up. I haven't checked the front pads yet.. I know there is a sensor and that could be part of the problem. Is there a sensor for the rear aswell or just the front ones?

I spoke to my local Audi dealer and he asked if the mechanic cleared the error, I am not sure if he did or not, I am surprised that would you need to and hope he is not trying to get some $$ out of me.. As all other yellow errors go away as soon as you attend to them.

Any info please!!

SAME PROBLEM! for the longest time... reset the computer is what I did and it went away...

Just unhook your battery for 10 or so mins and it should go away

there are no sensors for the rear pads. i had a brake light on once, the one in the display and not in the cluster, and it was just a burnt bulb

I fixed it! I took the left front wheel of and found the sensor, I took the wires out and cleaned the contacts they were coated in some road gunk, Now it has gone so all sorted
