Does Hawk HPS pads fit with stock caliper?

I have a 1.8TQ auto, i have to change the front brake pads. Which one you guys recommend? I am looking on average or above average(if thats a good deal) performance. I am going to change them follow the online instruction(any tips?). I want to buy them online, can you guys also include the website?

ebay has hawk hps pads for a decent price. that's what i run and i get very little dust

 

How about Mintex Redbox pads? Any comment on that? Mintex seems a lot cheaper than Hawks....

 

I have the EBC Green Stuff pads and love it ... and they seen to last forever ... even with cross / drill / slotted disc ... you can check that out if you want

I second this. I have the EBC Red Stuff. They are great, especially for the price

 

So overall, Hawks, Mintex, EBC green, which one is better for its money?

Is it ok that I just change the front pads? The rear pads are half year old and is different brand.

 

It's fine to run different brands on the f/r... just make sure the ones on the front are equal and the ones n the rear are equal.


I run Mintex Redbox pads. They're good for DD'ing and light auto-x, but yesterday I lost faith in them doing a canyon run. I was running down an evo and a 330 and I TOASTED the brakes. We pulled over and smoke was coming off of them... this was after maybe five 70-30 brakes.

My next pads will be Hawk HPS.

 

PBR ceramics are another choice. I use those.
I also gave up on Mintex Red a few years ago.
