Exclamation Brake Light Help!

Hey was up guys... So any help would be much appreciated. Last night i pulled over to get something out of my trunk when i noticed my passenger tail light was not on. i pulled the bulb out and saw that it was toast. I purchased new bulbs from walmart which was the closest place last night and i was really wasn't trying to get pulled over... anyway the same light works when the brakes are pressed in but when the healights are on and the tailights should be on that one passenger one does not work??

ANY HELP PLZ? point me in the right direction or if you have had to deal with this hook me up!

I just replaced this same bulb in my '96....since you have the facelift tail lights yours are probably different than the bulb set-up in mine. Anyway, after replacing all 4 visible bulbs, I later found there was a fifth bulb that was the culprit. It's a very tiny bulb, and was the one that operated the tail lights when the headlights are on.

The bulb I believe you need to replace is underneath the plastic piece that houses all the other bulbs. There should be a wire that runs directly to the back of the tail light housing. This wire is also connected to the plastic piece holding all the other bulbs. You just twist that sucker loose and pull the tiny bulb out. I'll see if I can find the bulb number you will need.....I couldn't find it at a Wal-Mart, I had to go to a PepBoys to find it.

edit--I'm pretty sure this is the bulb you needhttp://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...uestid=1683683

I am almost a 100% positive it is the same bulb. As soon as I can run out to my car, I can give you the exact number you need. Give me a sec...

This is the exact bulb I used to replace the burnt out one:
