Hey guys, I bought my Audi A4, 98.5 with 99k miles from a one owner...

Said it did this forever so he wasnt sure.

When I dont have my e-brake pulled up, It flashes. 24/7. If I pull my
e-brake up it becomes Solid red. But when not up, It flashes red.

Is this normal????

Doesnt sound normal to me. I have a 99.5 and I dont see this indication at all. Are you referring to the warning indicator on little display in the center of the dash? I am not sure exactly what it is-some of these cars have brake pad wear indicator sensors (not sure about your car). Could be a faulty sensor somewhere. Maybe ABS? Hopefully someone else who has a 98 and or more ownsership experience with chime in...

I'll try and get a picture. It's its own Light, A red circle.
Tonight I took a circle round about getting onto the Highwy pretty hard and the light
stopped... lol I got home 6 min later and I heard 3 beeps from the dash and the light
started flashing again.

I don't have a manual so I don't know what it is. I'll try and get a picture up.

When you pull your e-brak up, A red circle should come on Solid. Well rather than solid when up,
Its flashing while not up...

 

Does the ABS light stay on?

 

Nope, I've never seen it on. Don't think I have ABS....

When not up it flashes...

 

Mine is doing that now but the orange ABS light stays on while the red light flashes. I'm pretty sure the ABS module is going out. I've heard if only the brake light flashes it's either low brake fluid or a brake pad wear indicator.
