Do a search for the A8 brake upgrade. Great mod for the money.

The cheapest rotor that I can recommend is Raybestos from www.rockauto.com

If you want to get really good but still pretty cheap, ATE from www.tirerack.com

A8 upgrade is an option, but even with that, I wouldn't cheap out on the rotors. The cheap ECS kit comes with junk rotors from what I can tell.

My A4 is my secondary car so I picked Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors. Pretty good, reasonably priced.

What's the worst thing that can happen by getting cheap rotors?

Mine came with a 2 year warranty,so if anyting happens,i'm covered.

Based on what criteria? Do you mean the blanks in the basic kit? I've had mine nearly four years (the Powerstop drilled/slotted option) and have no issues whatsoever - no warping, rusting, radial stress cracks from the drill holes, absolutely zero issues. I know several others here who likewise have run them for years and have no issues and a huge percentage of the rotor life left on them...

Yeah. I don't trust no-name rotors, and those don't even look quality, IMO.
