BOSE speakers for$40?!

the speaker is working again, i took it out to see if it was the dust cap and it wasnt everything was in place but what i did was just playing with it
i pushed it in a couple of times, it was kinda rough but then i put it all back together and it was working perfectly again

i am good for now with subs, the stock BOSE makes my car shake hehehe i even turn the bass down ;p

Glad everything is working, you must have just had a loose connection. IMO the Bose sounds great, I love it in my car too.

How do you take the speaker out? do you have to take the door apart?

just take the door panel out its like 5 screws total

There are adapter plates to replace the bose speakers with conventional 5 1/4. I was going to replace them with my infinity kappa 5 1/4 but didn't want to mix speakers. I love the sound of the Bose but being that they are made of untreated paper, any kind of moisture warps the speaker cone causing the distorted rattling sound. I think if they are going to be used in an automotive application they ought to be treated to resist moisture.

maybe thats why mine was doing that, cuz when i took the door panel out it was kinda wet inside i did it after it rained
