Bose 6.5 Speaker replacement
#11
Well my fronts are fine, I just need a replacement for the rear, in all honesty I'm even feeling like just unplugging that one speaker and just roll with it like that lol but I can't treat my car that badly even though I'm getting rid of it in a few months. If I can get away with something under $100 that's fine, I just want something comparable or a little better than the stock. How do the JL's compare? Andrew mentioned them earlier.

Lol, you're really riding the front speakers, like I said I have no real reason to upgrade the fronts, I just want to replace the buzzing rear speaker. I'm hoping to upgrade to either a Evo X MR or BMW 1 series in a few months so I'm not really looking to spend any cash on meaningless upgrades but in the meantime I still have a long commute to work and I play my radio just above road and engine noise levels so I still need something decent to hold me over.

Front speakers are WAY more important, so of course I'm stressing the importance of them. If you want to replace your rears with something decent then just go for some 2-way Pioneers or Alpines or something along those lines. Cheap and better than stock.

i need to replace both my back too.
can't you only use factory bose replacements, since they have amps, any other type of speaker will blow really quickly.
does that go the same for the fronts? thinking about taking both rears out & getting really good fronts.
