Borla Exhaust
i was looking into buy a borla catback system from http://www.lmperformance.com/7049/95.html but i cant find out if it a 2.5" system or what. and since its a catback it should be down pipe and all right? i tried a quick search but i came up empty so any input would help me out. thanks

i was gunna buy the same system they sell.. and its the downpipe and everything included, but its a 2.25" system.. the only 2.5" borla system is the "techtonics exhaust" which is 2.5" piping with borla muffler/resonator.. and it doesnt include a downpipe you have to buy it seperate.. i have the full 2.25" borla setup and i love it.. no drone and gets loud when youre on the gas..
when i went to buy it from lmperformance, i ordered then after a while i never got confirmation emails.. so i called and it turns out they couldnt sell it cause Borla was going thru some ****, and they couldnt even get ahold of that exhaust so i ended up buying it for more money thru AWE.. id give them a call to see if they can get it for you

i would save save around 300 bucks and go to a muffler shop and have them bend out a custom set-up with 2.5" and a Borla muffler or Magnaflow, or witchever you want...?
then use that extra money to get a Labreee HFC...then you will have a bad *** full blown exhaust set-up... like me...lol

so your set on having mandrel bent pipes?
and yes, it looks like it comes with the downpipe. borla is 2.25" setup though, if your looking for performance at all i would go with a custom magna flow or techtonics setup.

^ mandrel bent pipes are what makes the system so expensive. at a bend the pipe will stay at 2.5" instead of when you just bend the pipe it will get smaller.
if i were you i would get a hfc and a 2.5" dp and then just have custom exhaust cat-back thats non-mandrel pipes so you save a lot of money.

i know they prolly boost numbers for marketing and what not, but the 2.25" system boasts around a 12-15hp increase.. i cant say i felt that type of added power with my system but it def did make a noticeable difference.. if youre gunna be going to a bigger power setup youre gunna wanna go 2.5".. check out the techtonics setup.. its around 500 i think for the system then you gotta pick up a downpipe..

The current Borla is referred to as V2 and is 2.25 the first Borla was V1 and was 2.5 but is now impossible to find and why techtonics came in. Not sure of any ups or downs to going 1/4 bigger.
I picked up a Borla last February from a website that has since gone out of business. I paid $635 shipped, but your price is still a damn good deal. 2.25 is good for k03 or k04 I would think.
All I can say is that I love the sound and would spend the money again in a heartbeat.
