Unhappy boosting when shifting

i cant seem to find out why my car seems sluggish when boosting. i remember when i got my car back (got it backed chipped) i felt that boost like never before. i would shift from gear to gear and the boost would be there instantly. felt that for 2 or 3 days, then all of a sudden the magic was gone, shifting from gear to another would seem like the turbo would have to spool up again, for each gear, instead of boosting right away, the turbo boosts and holds 15 psi. I've checked for boost leaks, none what so ever and the DV is holding the pressure. im boosting 15psi on the APR 93 octane program on the stock k03 turbo. anybody have any ideas? i would love feel that rush again.

well, first off, you got a boost leak somewhere cause 15 is very low....

Well after all the mods it stayed at 15psi. Before it was at 18psi and holding, spiking at 21psi. Ive checked but no boosts leaks it holds the 15psi.

ive checked all lines connecting to turbo and DV, some were cracked, but i replased them already. when shifting it feels sluggish like heavy until it gets the boost, then it haul ***. before i remember it was quick and speedy as soon as i shifted to another gear.

also forgot to mention that when i release the throttle, even in low boost i can hear the DV make the swoosh sound, the higher the boost the louder it gets. is that normal for it to be that loud? the DV is still fairly new, maybe 3 months. i have a VDO gauge and @ idle it stands @ 20 vacuum.

Maybe try using a thicker gauge spring for the DV? Don't they come with a set of different ones? I kind of sounds like it's barely holding the psi, but it's escaping through a little. It's just a thought though, I could be totally wrong.

This is my second DV, first was a stratosphere DV has same problem and then I got 007 DV still same problem with the weakest spring. Then I put the mid range spring and still same problem. I've even put the factory DV and still problem persist. I don't think the turbo is the problem since it boosts and I feel the push, it's just seems it doesn't recirculate the boost like it should between shifts.

Did you re-gap your spark plugs after the chip? When i got mine chipped the dealer put in new plugs and gapped them too much. Should be .028

I don't think its the spark plugs, I got new spark plugs already. Ill post a video later of the. Boost gauge while shifting, saw a video on youtube guy was shifting and holding. 10psi while shifting. mine goes to 15psi and then to 20 or 30 vacuum and then back to boosting 15psi while shifting.
