Default Boost Problems - New To Audi

I've always wanted and 1.8tqm a4 and finally bought one. I love how the car runs no problems till a couple days ago. The car had a boost guage when i got the car. I never read anything about how much stock psi it should be running but its always been at or around 2 psi. Well now the gauge is showing about 7 on the vacuum side of the gauge and not boosting at all??? Anyone have a solution? Please

unless you feel the car running like crap, with no power, its probably a vacuum leak.
most likely in the boost gauge hose itself.
tho stock vac lines seem to leak quite often, and obviously can only be fixed by replacing the hose that is leaking.

+1 /\. don't forget to check the line into the back of gauge itself. I myself would check the tee fitting first.

Any CEL? What year? Engine code?

Depending on the year, you should be spiking anywhere from 7-10 psi at WOT and ~22in-hg at idle. If you had a boost/vac leak that big, you'd be throwing a CEL for sure. How is the boost gauge plumbed in? Any chance you could post up some pics?

You. have. a. leak. some. where.

Only possible reason for 2p. Do a boost leak check, find the leak, fix it
