Angry BOOST LEAK...please help!

I was searching for boost leaks using the tennis ball method and found a strange one. Its located back by the firewall, very close to the valve cover, looks like a sensor mount or something.

The leak is occuring where the block and the other metal surfaces mate.

what is this sensor for? what is piece that I need to replace.

Thanks in advance.

ok, i replaced cam tensioner seals.

But now I have a much more serious problem...I started the car and it runs like its in 100% stock mode. Ive got this ominous sounding fault code

Address 01: Engine Labels: 4B0-906-018.lbl
Part No: 4B0 906 018 M
Component: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0002
Coding: 16701
Shop #: WSC 06435

1 Fault Found:
65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
06-00 - Signal too High
Readiness: 0110 1101

Is it possible that the chip software was lost while the battery was disconnected, or worse, the ecu is failing?

ECU's have been known to fail. Doesn't sound good in any case - you can pick up a used ECU around the classifieds and Ebay to use as a test. re-sell after your done.

little bit of info

The Module Memory Error code has not returned, and I hope it was an anomaly.

But still more suprises...after I finished the gaskets. I started the car and it sounded like there was a whole in my exhaust! Turned out that the bolts that hold the kombi-valve to the block had backed out due to vibration. One of the bolts was missing and the other one was hanging on by a few threads. I bought a new gasket and finaly got the kombi-valve secured.

The car seems to run fairly good now. But the boost is erratic. Sometimes it spikes to 14 psi, other time it only gets to 12 or 13 and holds at 11. I want to get it running properly before I swap in the N75J...
