ok so im going to get that tester but i had to order it now does that vacuum reading sound normal 20 inhg or is it supposed to be 10 ans also if the turbo was bad shouldnt it still make some sort of boost or nothing?

Why order a tester? You can make one for <$15! Check out the DIY section.

Your gauge is hooked up right.
We have a 0 boost situation going on in another thread.
CHECK IT OUT
A boost leak large enough to produce 0 boost at the manifold would cause your engine to hardly run at all. If there were a leak and the turbo was trying to work, you'd hear it.

Well i have some one who claims they can rebuild my k03 and modify it but ive never heard of it wouldnt know what chip to use according to him it will run me 3-400 dollars where a decent k04 is about 6 or 7 right? Would it be worth tryng to rebuild/modify a k03 i guess hes going to use parts from differnt turbos? Any suggestions
