Default Boost issue at the track today

Okay, so I ran a best time of 15.6 today which is total crap for all the mods I have on my car. APR chip, full 2.5'' exhaust, 3'' test pipe, aem air intake with heatshield, excedy stage 3 clutch and 12lb flywheel, bailey dv, samco intercooler piping, short throw, boost gauge, gutted backseats and trunk. I was getting 2.0 60ft times and very good reaction times, kept running 15.6-15.7 all day long with 85 degree temps all day.

I ran a 15.07 back home in ohio with 70 degree temps outside. This was with stock clutch and fw, stock ic piping, no short throw, back seats in and exhaust was just 3'' test pipe, deleted resonator and different muffler.

My launches were good but my car doesnt feel like its holding boost, it kinda surges and if I run 10 psi and give it 3/4 throttle it goes fine and holds but with 20 psi full throttle 4k rpm launches it holds 15 in 1st, spikes 20 through 2nd and 3rd but falls off very fast even before 5K. Im not sure if its the heat outside, the turbo itself being too small or my air intake setup but it feels boggy under full throttle. Any ideas?

i dont see any turbo or FMIC in that list of upgrades. i say those are pretty good numbers for a k03 with a heat-soaked side mount.

A ic will help, but your 60' with awd should be anothe .1-.3 faster. What are you launching at and when are you shifting?

launching at 4-4500k rpms. Shifting around 5k since the massive boost drop. A buddy at school today mentioned that the ecu might adjust my boost level because of excessive heat is this true? It was close to 100 degrees out not 85 i forgot to mention.

EDIT: also thought I might add I'm going to the track Saturday night so it will be nice and cool out for boost, we'll see how she runs in that weather out in the desert.

shifting at 5k? thats probably why, u still need to keep it going through the rpms. your still boosting even though it holds less, but when u shift earlier, it will take longer for the power to kick in the next gear.

shift at 7100 if your chipped!

Launch at 3500 rpms and shift at redline. Other than that, mid 15's is about normal for a chipped b5.
