body question

RE: body question
dude...widebody requires a bunch of custom bodywork.....
one guy....docurley....actually bought a totalled Rs4 and cut the flared fenders off of the totalled car and affixed them to his A4....
over on the zine there is a guy who just finished his widebody...he did it all in his garage by himself....i believe he shows for EUROPROJECTZ
besides that....if you are serious about this....your car will be out of comission for a few months and you will be dropping a minimum of $10k
I do not think you can get the skirt pictured above in the states....most people just remove the lower moulding on the door and toss on a set of S4 sideskirts
you can get S4 sideskirts for $180 a piece from the stealership...or you can pick them up substantially cheaper from a salvage yard
oh...and I believe there is a widebody kit you can buy from some website...but it cost major $....and from what I have read, it's not the best way to go....
find an amazing bodyshop and get yourself a quote....cheapest I could see the whole car coming together and looking like what you have pictured above is $10k
you must remember that it will take a body shop 100s of hours of custom bodywork and then they will have to re-spray the whole car....and the re-spray will cost $3.5k (for a good job...unless you have massive hookups)
well, gl!

RE: body question
yeah i do custom body work for a living, and id say i would charge someone around 10K if not more for a wide body. its a b!itch to get it to look perfect. on my a4 i took off the lower door moldings, and it almost looks like the car above except the fender flairs. ive been looking for a while and cant seem to find any that fit so i think they have to be custom made.
