RE: Blinking CEL
alright so I called the shop and they haven't touched my car yet. I'm thinking of going and picking it up and trying to fix it myself. What do you guys think?
If I do what exaclty do I need from autozone etc. and what do I need to do to see if I can fix this problem.
Thanks.

RE: Blinking CEL
ok so here's the deal. I talked to the shop and they said it was ignition 4 coil pack just as you guys had suggested!
Now I have to make a decision. I can pay $188 and have it running perfect again (includes diagnosis and labor/coil pack).
or-
I can tell them not to fix it, pay $100 for the diagnosis and go fix it myself (not sure how much a coil pack costs).
Of course the guy wanted to fix like ten other things on it while it's there including the secondary air injection pump, my rear brakes and the battery. I said no to all of that and I told him I would let him know what I was going to do in 30 minutes.

RE: Blinking CEL
This just happened to my car the other day same cylinder and is INCREDIBLY easy to fix. Pay for the diagnostic since you have to now but fix it yourself. The Coil cost 40$ all you do is take off your engine cover and you will see the 4 coilpacks, the cylinder 4 will be the farthest away from the front. disconnect the plug, take out your bad Coilpack and replace it plug it back in and you are golden. Hopefully that helps PM me if you have any questions, will save you some money on a reallly really easy repair.
