I would love to stop driving my car but I can't only means of transportation for me and I go to school and work. I am however going to a junkyard this week to look at a 98 1.8 quattro. Can I pull the cintroil arms off that and use those til I can afford new ones? will they work on my v6?

I checked my tie rod ends today while I was flushing coolant and they are fine. I did not get a chance to look at my lca's but when I I will. What is the best way to check them?
