Bad fuel leak!

Default Bad fuel leak!

hello everyone, i have a bad fuel leak under the back side of my 97 audi a4 1.8 turbo quattro. it only leaks out when the car is running. i know where it's leaking from, but i don't know what the part is called. i placed a couple pics up here to see if anyone on here knows what it is. i appreciate the help.

fuel filter/ pump probably if its near the tank in the rear of the car...just replaced mine took about an hour an 10 min

well its a good time to change your fuel filter anyway. just make sure you pick up 4 new cruch washers (2 for each side) with the filter and it wont leak.

thx . another thing..is the job a do-it-yourselfer, or should i leave it up to the mechanics?

If you have a working brain that makes good decisions then you should be fine....ill see if i can post a DIY on here but in the meantime look for one=)

i just had the same problem and replaced the filter and washers. here is the diy:
