It died head gasket gave out and partially fixed it then got carried away with a mk2 then a corrado VR and sold the red A4 as a parts car to my friend to clear space. Ive still got the cloth sports seats out the old car so will probably do something along the lines off throw them in eventually as the normal seats are not too comfortable for the miles I do. The engine out the red one will be getting rebuilt and going into my mk1 golf so the red death will live on lol

yeah it was a 1.8t,im acquiring parts to bore it out to 1.9 along with new valvegear and a gt30 for my golf. Ive already got the perspex windows, konigsports, recaros, strut braces, welded wishbones and rear axle(although its still to be triangulated), sourced a repro berg kit and a custom cage.....its going to be my fun car. My mk1 jetta coupe is getting the VR
The cloth sport seats will get the old non sport inserts trimmed in to match the rears and the bolsters re-trimmed and be left at that I liked the S4 leather I had in the red one but im not putting leather in the 'avant'

Any pics of the said Mk1? I've been really wanting a MK1 but all the ones in the area are either really beat up or the price is beyond high. It'll be cool to own a MK1 even with a stock 1.8T.

my mk1,its just a 1.8kr just now but its got a ported head and cams and has a lightened and balanced bottom end,four branch and 2.5" system. Its on highsport silverlines just now but ill swap them out for the konigsport silvers when I get a chance

the last urge was quite severe
And not had a chance to get the coils on the A4 because ive been busy finishing off the wheels for my friends car for a show next weekend
its an ex red 2.0 16v gti my friend decided to convert to american Harlequin spec,still got a bit of work helping him sort the fitment before the show plus ive got my normal work so itll probably be the start of next week before the coils and wheels go on mine

before the mk2 I ran about in the mk1 golf which I bought as a 1.1 for my sister for her 17th(she didnt like the green so I kept it )and before that was the Passat B5
the (red)audi doesnt get much of a mention as it only lasted 3 weeks on the first engine(200,ooo miles)and the replacement engines head gasket blew after 2 weeks and 1200 miles...
