i have a bad drivers side cat con, and know that it would be helpful to the environment to replace it, but i am poor and in college, so that's kind of on hold for the moment. in the meantime though, it sounds like it has a pebble in it and is being tossed around inside and it drives me insane!!!!! is there some sort of quick fix that i could conduct to stop or at least muffle this rattling without buying another cat?

 

same thing happened to my brother in his mercedes, after like 2 months of rattling the particles inside got smaller and smaller until it stopped.

 

lol, mine has been rattling for longer than 2 months though, it just became more pronounced over time :/

 

Search out a universal cat. They can be had for well under $100, although a shop will likely have to install it due to cutting and welding. Or check the classifieds for someone parting out a car and buy a cat from them.
