b5 a4 1.8t redline question

The Unitronics tune I'm going for sets it to rev to 7500. I believe that our engines can handle it, but past 7500 I'd be nervous to try

when i got my tune, they asked where i wanted my limiter set to.... i think i might have mine set to 7500 as well


cca4 drive it like you stole it.... you blow something then you can build it

lol i like your style! after the timing service i'll have a little more fun with it, but i don't want to tempt the car gods with a timing belt thats got 80k on it...

my chip only takes my engine to 7200 and you guys are going to 7500 nice

Wont make much difference if you have them set it to 7500, the Elim starts to hit a wall at 7200 rpm. I never went above that when racing the elim kits at the drag strip. After 7200 they just seemed to fall on their face.

7200 sounds more fun than 5500.

The things I'd do for an elim kit..

i rarely get into boost anyways so that is a null point


i want to build my motor and go bigger.... then make it a track car, and dd a 4.2

What's the stock rev limiter anyways? Like 6500rpms?
