Default Axle Oil Seal

Hi All, I have a '00 A4 1.8T Quattro. I have a trans fluid leak that I am pretty sure is coming from the axle seal on the front drivers side. I know I need to remove the CV shaft but am not sure where the seal is beyond that. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

to remove the shaft, you need to use a 12 point 8mm allen bit. i believe it's 8mm. pm ImTheDevil to make sure. then you need to turn the wheel to the right and the shaft should come out. don't let the shaft fall on the floor though so either have 2 ppl or put something soft under the shaft
