Average MPG Going Down?
New here so Hey!
Not long bought my A4 B5 and decided im going to do this car up properly and make it a nice machine
I've had her MOT'd and serviced and shes running nicely but she seems to have developed a fault
My average mpg before service was holding steady when stationary and going up and down when driving as you would expect, however i have found (Driving it home) that the mpg is dramatically going down when stationary (about .1 every sec.) although i know it should go down when stationary it shouldnt be this fast surely?
It never did this before, obviously something is wrong, any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Where are you located?
Has your actual MPG gone down or are basing that off of what the computer tells you? Remember the computer is just taking averages based on your speed and fuel consumption.
Your MPG while stationary is actually...zero.

I am basing it off what the computer tells me
I understand that when I'm stationary the mpg are 0, but surely it should recognise that I'm stationary and ignore the data?
I thought that was what it was doing before it went in for a service, the figure didn't change when I was stationary before?
P.s.
Thanks for speedy reply

No problem, I assume when you say MOT'd you got it inspected at the Ministry of Transportation? What does that entail?
Have you noticed any other changes? Does your speedometer work correctly? Does your fuel gauge seem erratic?
And surely you aren't actually using MPG over there right? Liters/km? Km/liter? I forget which one it uses.

No it is MPG over here (even though fuel is sold in litres, fucktarded guv.)
Every other instrument seems to be working completely fine
And I got her MOT'd at the local car garage that ive always been to
Seems this issue's got you scratching your head as well :P
