Default Avant question - are hatch hinges adjustable?

See above; I searched the forum but didn't find anything helpful. The hatch hinges have appeared to have sagged so that the bottom edge of the hatchis striking the sill when it closes. The paint has been removed down to shiny steel. Can the hinges be adjusted or do I have to do like the dealer says and buy new hinges? No sign of hinge mounts having slipped on the frame of the hatch.

Have you ever been rear-ended?

If not, I would think that you'll just have to replace the hinges. I can't imagine that that would be terribly expensive or laborious.

Should be easy to replace them if the holes aren't slotted for alignment, but I'd hope that they are slotted, just like doors and hoods.
