Auto vs manual

Imo, a car with a m/t is simply more fun to drive. I don't know if you're planning on getting an exhaust later, but the sound of a car with an a/t with a modded exhaust just reminds me of a typical ricer that has no idea of how to drive a stick. The only exception I would say would be if a car or truck had a V8. If you're just looking to have a comfortable car to get you from point a to point b, then an automatic is definitely hassle free.

If you're getting the 2.8, then you're obviously not looking to go too fast anyway. Manual is definetly more fun to drive, but if you're looking to just relax and enjoy the drive, the auto is the way to go. I assume if you want the 2.8, you're not going to try and mod much. I might even go on a limb and say, if you decide to go with a stick, you might as well get the 1.8T. Once you start driving an Audi quattro with a manual, you will get the mod bug, and you'll be pissed you have the 2.8...
