Audi won't start

I'm telling you, I just went through the same thing. The starter will still spin on the bench because there is no load and they throw a gazzilion amps through it. I had two bad starters test good on the bench.
If you have a voltmeter or multimeter, check to make sure you have 12.5+ VDC across the big red wire that goes to the starter and the ground. Then, check the small red wire with a friend holding the key in the start position. If you get 12.5+ VDC, it's definitely the starter.

so i replaced the starter and still no crank no start. had the old starter tested at auto zone and the old one failed. so at least i do have a new working starter (they tested it and the new one passed) so now I'm lost. New battery/new starter. And I'm still at square one.

Did you test to see if you have voltage there when someone turns the key?
