Default Audi AWD

How does AUDI quattro work?

Does it deliver power to all 4 wheels evenly... or only to the forward wheels and then to the rear wheels in times of slippage?

Is there a differential lock?

The quattro system is based on a center torsion differential that is setup to deliver torque where it is needed. Theres a lot more to it and usually it feels like its front wheel biased to me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quattro...l_drive_system) Also I am fairly certain that the front and rear differentials have a electronic locking mechanism but not sure if my source was reliable. Unless I got that from the options sticker on my car I can't remember. The link isn't working because of the parentheses on it copy and paste it or click on the first recommended result when you click on it.
