me being a dealer ( and Hunderds of others do it) will purchase a gps tracker, some plug right into the OBD-ll conectors, others you can wire right into the a power source for a more stealthy look.

its more of an insurance in case some one does steal a car that was financed OR if they (the customer) themselfs try to steal the car, you can go on your comp. search em down, and reposes the car.

The model that i am interested in selling is the one that wires directly to your car using 12v source. It supports Sim Cards so basically you can call the number of your car and it will send you text with its coordinates also you can use software like google earth to locate your car and also it comes with the mic that you can install inside your car and listen to conversations. Another cool feature is that it has an engine cut off function via SMS. All you do is text a command to the car and it shuts off the engine. How cool is that?

There are two models
199 for one that just tracks the car
249 for one that tracks the car and gives you option to listen and cut off engine

It was just an idea I haven't talked to supplier yet but i am sure that if at least 10 people will be interested and preorder the units I will place the order with them

 

Thats not bad price-wise. I think lo-jack is considerably more expensive than that.

I dont know maybe I will talk to some people on forums and see if there is demand then start a list of people who are interested.

 

talked to some suppliers and i guess you need a GPRS service with 30mb min per month. I have no idea where to get that nor how much that costs so its a no go for me on the trackers

 

sounds nice, but too much "extra" stuff for something like that, and as good as the price is i personally wouldn't buy one.

but that's just because i don't live in an area that i NEED that.

on the original post u listed colors, could u upload a picture of the 1.8t cover in the blue/black combo, or at least ANY cover in that color? it sound very intriguing.

and didn't u mention a kevlar cover? curious how that looks.
