Audi a4 misfire
#3
I bought my car really cheap 6 years ago because of a misfire they couldn't fix. Turns out in my case it was the Ignition Control Module (ICM) located on top of the airbox. It was about $15 at the junkyard. I had to replace it again about a year ago. Just another possibility.

Another thing to check is your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). It will cause misfires anywhere above (roughly) 3K RPM.
People often get this confused with the cam speed sensor (I did the first time). It's not the same and lucky for you, it's far cheaper and much easier to change. Mine actually went out (again) the other day. I have one on the way now.
Here's the one I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171555833091?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
