Audi A4 2.8 1/4 mile time?

I didn't see any negative comments... just a general sentiment that the 2.8 is not well-suited for dominating in the 1/4 mile. Also, notice that most of the comments have come from members who own a 2.8 themselves.

If you want a respectable 1/4 time (for me thats atleast 15.0 and under) then a 2.8 isnt going to do that. A 1.8t with some basic mods will make it to where you arent the slowest car at the track, that is unless a Prius is there, and even then that might be a battle vs a stock 2.8

not sure on 1/4 id guess around 16 too maybe a bit less with a good driver but ive been to a local 1/8 and get low 10's if that helps any

Even with a PES SC making over 300whp it is still only going to run mid to high 13's. That is about .5+ seconds slower then a 1.8t making the same power.

it was just a simple question... I dont plan or want to run my audi 2.8 on 1/4 mile I was just curious what time it is making thats all...

think i saw a stock a4 2.8qm run mid to high 15's stock, dont remember on what site it was :S

probably would be aroun the sixteens but my buddy has a 99 v8 rousch and at the track he runns around a 13.5 while on the highway i can keep upwith him( only one ortwo car lenghs behind) and alli got is a 30v 2.8 with a k&n filter.....America has its power but we ride in fashion boys!!!!!!
