Audi A4 1.8T Cabriolet - Shake at Low Speed NOT at Idle
Hi, I'm new to this forum and a new owner of a 2003 A4 1.8T Cabriolet.
I have an issue that I can't seem to resolve, but I think I'm close, hoping to get some feedback here.
The issue: At low speeds, before full rolling speed (no gas) and the same speed when coming to a stop the car trembles/shakes a bit. BUT when I put the car in neutral when coming to a stop there is NO shaking problem. The RPM meter may have a slight drop during these moments and I mean SLIGHT, barely noticeable, again could be a visual distortion caused by the tremble.
During idle, it is smooth, I think I may have felt some light shaking, but it could be my imagination since I was looking for it.
I had the whole car looked at when I got it, and the mechanic said the engine and trainy are in great condition with no issues. Reading posts here, I think it's the ignition coil/coil pack, but all the coil symptoms included shaking during idling, which I do not have.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Vlad
