Default ARGH SPEEDTUNING

so as some of you may kno i have a speedtuning chip and when i first put it in the car it never worked. then a whole bunch of **** happened and i got a new motor and the chip suddenly did work.(yay!) then tonight....it went back to not working again and im at 10psi. also when i start the car it says serv.INSP which goes away after a while.

but my question is since i now know that i am chipped, its safe to say i can run a MBC just to keep the boost regulated right?is the chip going toadjust the fuel accordingly? and whats serv.INSP? i didnt get a chance to check for codes yet.

oh and also i will be re-chipping my car as soon as i have the funds.

I thought i heard that a chipped computer unlike the stock is designed to adjust for a MBC but im really not sure at all on that so wait for someone else to post. What i do know is that serv.INSP thing is no big deal, it comes on after so many miles to remind you its time to take it to the stealership. On mine you push the odometer button while u turn the car on and then pull the clock adjusting thing. On urs idk its probably something similar, search around cause im pretty sure your year is the same or almost the same.. Its only the old ones that need a VAG i think.

Well they forsure arent linked, its all based on how many miles have passed since its been reset. Im surprised no one has chimed in about the mbc, are you sure you dont have to turn it on with like the cruise button or something like some chips? Id just call the place and ask them about it. I always though on like 01's and up you could run an mbc or solder a resistor in and get more boost w/o a chip, theres a writeup about it somewhere.

service inspection was put in by audi to tell you that you should take your car to the dealership and then bend over. audiworld has the diy to reset it though.

yeah i kno most chips you can change the settings, but im pretty sure crappy speedtuning is just the one setting. my cars a 99.5 so i cant do the diod mod if thats what u were reffering to. im just gunna suck it up for now and buy a MBC soon. besides i shouldnt b boosting 20lbs on a motor w/ 800 miles on it anyway, so i guess it kinda works out.

i tested for one w/ the new motor install. im pretty sure the chip just dosent work right. i should be fine w/ a MBC, hopefully the fuel will adjust again.
