Much kudos, sounds like the exact problem I'm having with my passenger side door too. For months I've thought it was blown, came close on three occasions to paying almost 300 bucks for a whole new set of aftermarket front speakers (which I still may do, soon as I have the spare cash) but the rattling is so annoying, I'm definitely gonna take the time this weekend to pop open the door and see if that's what the problem is, and if some glue fixes it I will be so happy. Thanks man You may well have cured my headache :P

Wow! I cant believe that so many people care so much for the Bose system components, buy some Focal speakers and you will never have issues. Bose is for
A: Old folks who think Bose is something special
B: People who dont know real equip.

Did it ever occur to you that the stock Bose system is ideal or good enough for a lot people? Not everyone is a stereo gear head.

True or just good until it starts blowing or "unglueing". I cant really talk, I wish my car came with bose because it would allow me to remove the bose out of the rear doors and replace them with good speakers.. Only bose has the extra speaks in the rear door panels..

I just hate when people come in my shop with bose equipped cars acting like its hot looking for replacement speakers. Next time I will just tell them that I will reglue the dust caps for $20 lol.

Wow! Way to hate on such a good post! I really don't see the reason to be negative about anything on this whole thread. Munzter is saving many people (including myself) a ton of money by doing a little research and you have to go and say something like this.

Thanks Munzter!

Not to mention not everyone has the cash to spare on better stereo equipment, especially when it's dirt cheap if not free to just pop open the panels, re-glue the dust caps, put it back together and call it a day.

^x2
this worked great until i took out the wrong fuse after blowing the interior lights fuse and my radio went into safe mode. guess its time for a new receiver. i dont know about the dude hating on these speakers, i had all aftermarkets alpines in my last car and these sound just as good with deeper bass (now that i can turn the bass up without that annoying noise)
