For Anyone who thinks they have a blown Rear Bose speaker Pt. 2
Hey guys, i was actually about to post something about that today. So anyways for a while i also thought i had a blown bose rear speaker,it was driving me crazy, exp with the sub. but even so i herd it when i turned the bass up with out my sub.
---THE SPEAKERS ARE NOTBLOWN! It is That Back panel that is made of wood--That rattels. For the longest time i thought it was the speaker so did many others who i brought it too.
When i was working on my car one day i turned up the bass a little shoved a Tourqe Wrench in the trunk(In between the Wood and the metal supports in the trunk. No more rattling.
This was more or less for people who have subs.
Maybe others have this problem, if you think so..Turn up the music/bass, when you hear the rattling, push down REAL hard on that back panel it will be gone.

So you are saying its the whole back panel? Or its the gap between the panel and the speaker housing? Both mine rattle like that so I unplugged them when I put my subs in. My right door speaker sounds semi blown too.

If you have a subwoofer in your trunk, you'll DEFINITELY hear that rattling sound.
It annoyed me for about a week or two before I figured it out.
I used foam rubber matting. I rolled up a few tight pieces and shoved them in between about 6 spots where the panel and the metal met. After that, no more rattling.
I guess you could also remove the panel, put down some dynamat on the metal and replace the panel.
My method worked just fine though.

my problem is different... the rattling come from the trunk lock components... it rattles like crazy... but when i have the trunk closed and i press against the trunk... it stops rattling... anyone have the same problem? or anyway to fix it?
