Emil - sounds good. Looking forward to hearing the exhaust
Fumoazul, the broken spring should be fine as long as it's not snapped off halfway up the coil. Most of us have dealt with this on higher mileage cars and the ones I've seen have broken at the very end where it's not an issue. It soubds like the other issue is a wheel bearing but check rotors and pads too - they can imitate the sound of a shot bearing.

It's a pain to do it yourself - you need a strong press (probably 8 ton minimum). What several of us have done is remove the spindle from the car and take that to a shop and have them press it out and press the new one in (this will run you probably $20-30). Then you take it home and reinstall the hub. If you do this, do NOT try and remove the ABS sensor - you'll destroy it. Just unplug it from underneath the rear seat and feed the wiring out the bottom of the car and leave the sensor right in the housing. It won't be in the way and they can do the bearing pressing with it in place.

i prob wouldn't want to try to mess with that... Can you point me to the cheapest wheel bearing that i can buy? How much do you think a independent shop would charge me for labor?

I'm pretty sure www.germanautosport.com has them for a little under $50, and they're in Albany NY so you'd get it in a day or two. Make sure whoever does the job will use a part you supply - many places won't do that. Most people pay about $250 parts and labor per bearing at an independent shop.
