Anyone wanna buy a short throw shifter?

CCA4, the install is fully doable from inside the car. I did mine 90% in the car. The other 10% was just cuz I didn't feel like sitting in the car to reassemble the shifter box with the new hardware, but it is doable to do so in there, but its also doable to get the shifter box out, close and lock your car, take it all inside your apartment, do the necessary assembly and then go put it back in. Or you could even go to a friend's house, you only need basic tools and some patience, its not like you have to tear apart the whole front end of your car or anything ;P

it looks pretty straight forward. it comes with instructions. but idk what they say yet. i still am waiting for the shifters to come i ordered them last night. but heres some pics i took. looks like once u get the trim off the shifter theres a foam cover. 2 nuts hold it on.
remove the nuts and now u have access to the shifter.
looks like it needs to be disconnected from the linkage so it will come free. then the rest looks like it will come right out then insert the new one and i guess read directions. this looks to me like it will be a 45min - 1hr tops job

Yes, it needs to come off the linkage. Where as JC's got his whole shifter box out of the car for the auto>manual swap, all of this will be done through the little hole in the console (unless you fuss with pulling apart the whole middle console thing to get full access, its sixes either way though IMO). My best piece of advice: in the last picture JC posted, the two linkages are bolted down with a 6mm allen style bolt. For the sake of your sanity, don't try breaking those bolts (they're loctite'd) with just your average allen key. Get a 3/8" drive socket bit that is fitted with an allen bit (craftsman offers one for $5.95 at sears. Worth every penny) and it'll make breaking those bolts ten times easier.
Other than that, the instructions are pretty straightforward (if you search for the thread I started when buying the ebay B&M style shifter, aledelic posted a link in there to a PDF of the instructions. If its not there, inquire and I will repost it here) so with the right tools and a bit of patience in places, its an hour tops. Took me closer to 3 cuz I learned the hard way that those allen bolts dont break easily with a simple allen key.
