Let me know, was going to do mine today but everything was just too hot after the seafoam treatment to get it done comfortably. Tomorrow am is the plan.

I just got mine in and I am in the exact same boat. I checked ecs website and my part # isnt even a part, but change the "h" to a "k" and it pops up. Whats the difference between the two? If all they have is the h version, then charge me an h version price, ya know? I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what they have to say. I'll post it up.

Im not really concerned with the H vs K revision, its just that i suspect this is some cheap china knock off tensioner and i have no idea what it will do to my engine if it breaks.

we paid for the revised upgraded version...and i suspect that it shouldnt be a part that came from china. If i wanted to use chinese parts Id have bought a honda. I'm just upset at ecstuning...if we had not checked th aprt number, we would have never known...and i suspect that was the idea.

So I called ecstuning just now and this is what they told me. They said that the part I have in my hand in the actual revised "k" version. They told me that the "h" has been superseded to an "e" which has then been superseded to a "k"....can someone explain that to me? I'm a little confused as to what that means...

It means the actual part number has not changed other then in the computers. The H version has lost its identity and is now going by the name K. lol

To me what they are basically saying is that the part number in the system has been changed to a K even though the part numbers might still have the H on the housing.

So the sticker on my housing is an old sticker? If the part number changed in the computer, then the part itself should have changed right? If they are selling it as the revised, newest version....it just seems odd that I have an old part number on a "new revised" part that says made in Germany but has chinese stickers on it....

Is it an actual revised part or just a revised part #? Because the way they worded it, its just a updated part # that superseds the others before it.

More and more Audi parts are coming out of China. But even though they put OES on them doesn't mean they are a OE supplier.
