Default Anybody chip a 2.8 litre A4?

I know that the 4cyl benefits greatly from being chipped, but does anybody out there have a chipped 2.8 liter? Just looking for some feedback.
Thanks

yea i would also recommend it. It really does feel like the engine revs smoother and produces a bit more power.

A chip is worth the money at SpeedTuning's prices. Well worth the money, actually, but it wouldn't probably be worth it at more than that.

I've been wondering the same thing about chipping my car, but I am on the fence about having someone soldering something to my car. I want better performance in my 2.8, but does it do anything for a FWD?

It does exactly the same thing in a FWD as it does in a quattro car....

they aren't changing the chip set at all, as in they aren't sodering anything on to the chip, they are just changing the software on the chip. so its really pretty safe to do.

Is Speedtuning a flash or hardware chip? I thought APR was the only one doing EMCS flashing onto ECU's. I never really read into the ST stuff though

I don't think that's true...I think the B5 is split and some can be flashed and others have to be soldered in. The split might have been 1999.5, but I don't know for sure. I'm pretty sure my early 99 was soldered.
