Any tips removing rear tie rod bolt?
Hey Guys,
So I am trying to change the rear tie rods on my car so I can get a proper alignment done. The outer nut came off fine but the inner bolt/nut will not budge! I have dealt with the pinch bolts of the front and many other bolts on this car but I cannot get this to move... I tried heating it but the bolt started to strip when I applied too much torque.
Any tips on getting this sucker out?
Also I have a question about the eccentric washer behind the bolt. I understand this is what adjusts the rear camber but is that lobe attached to the bolt or the frame or neither? How is it adjusted when doing an alignment anyways?
Thanks

funny thing. i brought my car in to get an alignment today and they said my rear ledt ecentric bolt was seized. i had no idea i even had one! honestly you best bet is impacting it off but i doubt it is going to happen. seems like youll need to saw/torch it off and get a new one

It's very hard to get a cutting wheel in there. I've fought with that one before. What I notice is that there's no PB on it. I soaked mine with PB for a few days and finally got it. But it can also seize to the bushing inside that arm. So even if you can cut it, you might still be buying a new arm. I'd really soak that thing and try to get the bolt to turn. It's your best chance of saving that arm.
