My brake lights don't work when I hit the pedal. Checked the bulbs - they are good. Checked the fuses the appear to be good. Don't have a schematic so not sure if I checked the right one. 10amp #13 is the one I found but I still didn't see any other bad ones. Didn't check the switch but my 3rd light works so leads me to believe it isn't the switch - possibly a bad assumption.

Could it be the abs module? I have been experiencing some weird braking issues when slow braking. Issues like abs is kicking in for no reason. Unfortunately I don't have a vga tool so I can't check the codes. I'd like to do as much as possible before taking it to the dealer. Rather not pay them $200 for a 5 minute job.

 

hey chenn... did you end up figuring out why your brake lights dont turn on when you hit the brakes? even when your 3rd brake light still works...

Im having the same issue... a buddy of mine told me it might be the brake light switch... but like you said... wouldnt the 3rd brake light not work to?
