alots of problems:need help
Year:1996
make:audi
Model:a4
Motor:2.8 v6
Trans: 5 speed fwd
Problems: started up today and when i drove it it was falling on its face really bad. still accellerated not as hard but it did. i do not know what this issue is at all never even owned an audi before the motor sounds a lil louder like an exhaust leak with cams but i dont have any cams this car is completely stock!
check engine light came on it randomly flashes rapidly and then stops and stays on solid doesnt go off. it has this whinng noise that i thought where brakes and it gets louder as i accellerate determined it was brakes or exhaust leak im really not sure where to go with this any info would help me out greatly!
was told it could be a coil pack or a 02 sensor but i have no idea please help thanks
call me im me anything i just need help and direction

ok well than u will need to replace your coil pack u can buy from this site or get oem coil pack and it haft to be oem or it will misfire again the aftermarket sucks this website is great for oem parts http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_A4-...tion/ES252237/

correct i started with the plugs and that didnt really help the misfire issue. this car is completely stock down to the coil pack im probably the most active owner of this car its had....andrew how did u determine coil pack if u dont mind me asking?

don't just throw parts at it without confirming first... swap the coilpack from cyl 6 to one on the other bank, clear your codes, drive a while until it misfires again, and then scan the codes.
If the problem goes away on cyl 6 and pops up on the one you swapped it to, just replace that coil pack.
